Fish seed supply from Govt. Fish Seed Farms to Fish Farmers

Fish seed stocking is the main activity in fish culture. 15 Govt. Fish Seed Farms supply quality fish seed to the fish farmers in the state. The seed stocking is the backbone of fish culture. The farmers can deposit the fish seed amount (@ Rs. 65/- per thousand no. of fish seed) with the concerned Fisheries Farm Manager. The Fisheries Farm Manager will supply the fish seed within 15 days of the deposit of fish seed cost, it is also pertinent to mention here that the fish seed is supplied during the month of June, July, August, February and March as it is a seasonal work of the stackable size. The fish seed of all culture able fish species i.e. Catla, Rohu, Mrigal, Common Carp, Silver Carp, Grass Carp is available with the Govt. Fish Seed Farms in the state.
