• Inspired by an awareness camp organized by the Department of Fisheries, Panipat, she decided to pursue fish farming and received formal training in the field.
• She then approached the District Fisheries Officer, Panipat, and availed assistance under the PMMSY (Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana) – New Grow-Out Pond Scheme.
• Under the scheme, she leased 66 hectares of land and constructed a fish pond, where she successfully started fish farming.
• Through fish farming, she significantly improved her family’s financial condition and also generated employment opportunities for 8 people.
